At Little Branch Photography, I understand just how quickly these moments pass, and I've made it my mission to help Houston-area parents preserve them in beautiful photographs.
That’s why I’ve created my fan-favorite Monthly Studio Mini Sessions—short and sweet photography sessions designed to perfectly capture life's special milestones, no matter how big or small. I initially created these mini sessions to chronicle baby's first-year milestones, but they've quickly grown into something even more meaningful, capturing milestones at any age and for any occasion.

Many families focus on capturing the big milestones during a child's first year, and understandably so. From the sleepy newborn days through tummy time, sitting up, crawling, and finally walking—these early days are magical and fleeting. But your child's story doesn't end there. Each year brings new firsts and fresh moments worth remembering.
Maybe it's the excitement of toddlerhood, the proud independence of preschool, the joy of a gap-toothed grin, or the journey from pregnancy through the early years. Each milestone holds a special place in our hearts, becoming cherished memories we look back on fondly for years.

Scheduling a full-length photography session—complete with outfit changes, detailed setups, and unpredictable moods—can feel daunting during certain life stages. That's exactly why I've created these Monthly Studio Mini Sessions.
With just 15 minutes, these bite-sized sessions are perfect for busy families, especially little ones who may quickly lose interest during longer sessions. Your child stays comfortable, engaged, and happy within this shorter window. After all, we're always chasing those elusively genuine smiles and precious moments on camera. (Does your child smile like Chandler on Friends in front of the camera like mine does?!)

And let's talk weather—Houston summers are blazing! But at Little Branch Photography, I’ve got you covered (literally!). My boutique climate-controlled studio space in Houston Heights ensures comfort no matter what's happening outside. Whether it's the sweltering summer heat, a rainy afternoon, or even a chilly winter day, your session will be unaffected and stress-free. (Indoor fun is one of the few options for us Texans in July, and it would be an honor to capture your sweet summer memories in my studio.)
Maternity Too!
If you are expecting and would just like a few photos to capture this time in your life, then we can also get a few maternity photos for you. I know you may not always be feeling your best in this phase of motherhood, I know I didn’t. But I also know that I not only wish I had more photos of my mother now that she is gone, but I also am curious to how she looked when carrying me. Did she carry low like me? Did her face round out like mine? Maternity photos weren’t a thing when my mom was young, but I wish it was. This is a great way just to capture a few pictures of you as you carry your sweet baby.

One of my favorite things about these studio mini sessions is the beautifully simple, crisp white backdrop and wooden floor. This minimalist setup puts you and your family members at the heart of each photograph, making these portraits timeless keepsakes. Without distracting backgrounds, your outfits, props, and especially your sweet faces become the focal point.
Neutral colors also mean endless possibilities. Whether you prefer classic, simple portraits or want to add a personal touch with special outfits, favorite stuffed animals, or a seasonal prop, the neutral backdrop provides the perfect canvas to showcase your unique family personality. Affordable & Versatile: Capture Milestones Again & Again
Another great advantage of mini sessions is their affordability. At just $175 (+ tax) for one person, with the option to add additional family members for a small extra fee (and an extra download!), these mini sessions provide fantastic value. They allow you to capture multiple milestones—from pregnancy and newborn to toddler, sibling, and beyond—all without breaking the bank. It's the perfect way to create your family's photographic legacy.
Here's a quick overview of what you'll receive:
$175 + tax per session for one person
$35 per additional person + 1 extra photo download (up to 6 people maximum per session)
15-minute session + buffer time for comfort
Choice of 3 photos from a beautiful, professionally curated gallery
Additional photos available for purchase
2-3 week turnaround for your edited, high-quality images
Neutral white backdrop, wooden floor, and select simple props (such as a couch, chair, or wooden toys) provided
For birthdays, you have the option to include 3 helium balloons in pink or blue (or bring your own balloons for a special touch!)
A Note on Cake Smashes
Due to the shorter timeframe, cake smashes aren't possible during mini sessions. However, if a birthday cake smash is on your wishlist, I’d love to help you plan a custom session to celebrate this special milestone!
